Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Thursday "cooperation" with the United Arab Emirates in combating the emerging corona virus.

"The UAE and Israeli health ministers will announce within a few moments their cooperation to combat Corona," Netanyahu said in a statement, adding that this cooperation will include areas of research, development and technology.

Netanyahu made the remarks during a graduation ceremony organized by the Israel Air Force Academy.

The statement pointed out that the agreement will be signed by Israeli Health Minister Polly Edelstein with his Emirati counterpart Abdel Rahman Al Owais. Netanyahu added - according to the statement - that cooperation between the UAE and Israel will be announced soon in fighting the virus.

"The cooperation will focus on research and development in areas that will improve the delivery of health care across the region," he said.

Netanyahu pointed out that this announcement is the result of extensive and extensive contacts made in recent months, and this will bring good to many in our region, according to his claim.

The Israeli Prime Minister concluded his speech by saying, "The more powerful we are, the more our strength will deter our enemies and bring our friends closer."

Netanyahu, in a speech at the ceremony, did not disclose additional details about the agreement, but he merely indicated that it would be the first public agreement with Abu Dhabi.

Although the UAE does not have public relations with Israel, Netanyahu and other officials have stated on more than one occasion that there is rapprochement with it, and with other Arab and Islamic countries.
