The National Police arrested Jesús Heredia, 'el Pantoja', considered the most important drug lord in the Campo de Gibraltar on Wednesday . Allegedly controlled practically the entire transport of hashish from Morocco to Cádiz. The UDYCO Central Narcotics Brigade was in charge of the operation that culminated in the arrest in Chiclana (Cádiz ) of Heredia, who is considered the head of the Pantojas clan, and the right-hand man of Abdellah El Haj Sadek El Membri , alias 'El Messi'.

Until now, Jesús Heredia was in a search and capture situation, with several pending court cases for drug trafficking and criminal organization. A month ago, on May 25, agents of the Civil Guard and the National Police dismantled the organization of the Pantojas with the arrest of 36 alleged members.

In the operation called 'Poodle / blonde', 18 entries and registrations were made in the Campo de Gibraltar region, which involved 4,300 kilograms of hashish, 19 vehicles, nine semi-rigid, recreational, fishing and jet-ski boats, numerous equipment electronic, telephone and nautical, a submachine gun and a short gun, and cash.

The joint investigation began in April of last year, when it was found that Jesús Heredia, 'el Pantoja', was the head of the group, allegedly linked to drug trafficking since his youth and that he had been climbing positions and becoming a man of confidence of the drug trafficker fled from justice nicknamed 'El Messi', for whom he carried out security and logistics tasks.

The organization had two ways to introduce hashish to shore . In the daytime hours they hid their caches in pleasure boats and took advantage of weekends, when there are more movements, to disembark it using transshipment with semi-rigid boats. About half a ton of drugs were put into each stash. During the night, they put the drug into powerful semi-rigid boats, known as 'gomas', which transported one to three tons of hashish.
