Real Madrid managed to beat the promoted and relegated Mallorca 2-0 on Wednesday for the 31st day of La Liga, and took first place in the championship ahead of FC Barcelona, timid winner of Bilbao on Monday (1-0).
Zinédine Zidane's men won with a goal from Vinicius (19) in the 19th and a direct free kick from captain Sergio Ramos in the 56th.
The Madrilenians thus go back to equal points with Barça (68 pts), but pass again leaders thanks to a better particular goal-average, to seven matches of the end of the championship of Spain.
