According to him, in the Carpathian region, in Bukovina and Transcarpathia there were terrible floods.
“I’m flying to the Ivano-Frankivsk region in order to coordinate on the spot the activities of authorities in overcoming the consequences of bad weather,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He also posted a video in which he gets on a plane with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
Earlier, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine reported that 187 settlements were flooded due to bad weather in the western regions of the country.
As a result of heavy rains in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, three people were killed.
