According to reports, demonstrators demanded to defend the right to work and school operations, protested against the government’s mandatory vaccination and compulsory medical policies for infectious diseases, and demanded that the government return the people’s freedom to vaccinate voluntarily and whether patients choose treatment.
Local media reported that when the organizers launched the protests, they did not require the people who participated in the demonstrations to wear masks, nor did they remind people to participate in the activities to maintain a safe social distance. This may bring the risk of spreading the new coronavirus.
In this regard, Dario Nardella of Florence said that this protest and demonstration brought great hidden dangers to public health and safety, and was a completely irresponsible act.
At present, the Florence police have submitted to the procuratorate the demonstration organizers, and the demonstrators violated the epidemic prevention laws and relevant evidence.
