At 16.25 the rescue service arrived at the site to assist the Swedish Maritime Administration and the Sea Rescue with the burning boat.
- We are there and helping. We are there with a fire truck and commander. We have subtracted it from adjacent boats. It will not be saved and will burn up, says Tommy Wållberg, commanding officer of the rescue service.
- The boat was in the harbor when it started to burn. There are indications that people have jumped into the water.
From the boat?
- The perception is that there were people who were at or on the boat. But they have taken to shore now. The nature of the damage or if there is such a thing is unclear.
How many people jumped in the water is unclear right now. Even what caused the fire is currently unknown.
- The police will investigate, says Tommy Wållberg, commanding officer for the day.
