Unstoppable Atalanta. Led 2-0 on the pitch by the fearsome Lazio Rome, the Bergamo team completely reversed the match to win 3-2 and get a little closer to the podium, Inter Milan (3rd) having been held in check.

The 27th day, the first to argue completely since the resumption of competitions, is over. And who is rubbing his hands? Juventus.

The eight-time defending champion is indeed the only team of the top three to win on Monday in Bologna (2-0).

Beaten, Lazio finds itself at four lengths. And with a single point taken, Inter are now eight behind.

The Atalanta-Lazio match was particularly awaited. He pitted the two most beautiful teams of the "pre-Covid", both ambitious and full of dreams, scudetto for the Romans, new qualification for the Champions League for the Bergamasques. And the summit lived up to expectations.

Lazio got off to a good start, pushing De Roon to a counter-goal and doubling the bet on a magnificent strike from Milinkovic-Savic.

In the 11th minute, the Romans led 2-0 and already saw themselves picking up just one point from Juventus. But Atalanta knows it can score all the time, and a lot.

The players of Gian Piero Gasperini may have done the essentials by returning to 2-1 just before the break thanks to the side Gosens, author of a season of very high level.

Then the second period was entirely to the advantage of Atalanta, who logically equalized on a splendid shot from Malinovskyi (66th) then took the advantage thanks to a goal from the former Messin Palomino (80th).

By defeating Lazio, who had not been beaten since the 5th day at the end of September and remained on 17 victories and four draws, the team of Bergamo thus defended its 4th place and remains well placed for a return to the Champions League , she who will play in August the "Final 8".

She also moved closer to Inter, which has only four margin points after a crazy game against Sassuolo, punctuated by six goals (3-3) and at least as many twists and turns.

Antonio Conte's team therefore recorded a very poor result, which they will regret all the more since it has led twice to the score.

It was however Sassuolo who quickly scored the first goal (Caputo, 3rd), but the Milanese reacted and were ahead at the break, thanks to a penalty from Lukaku (41st) and a goal from Biraghi (45 + 1) .

In the second period, Gagliardini should have given the nerazzurri two goals, but the midfielder, alone against the empty goal at five meters, put the ball on the bar for one of the missed of the year.

In the final ten minutes of unrestrained action, Berardi equalized from the penalty spot for Sassuolo (81st), then Borja Valero replaced Inter at the front (86th, 3-2). But in the 89th minute, Magnani took advantage of the passivity of the Milan defense to offer a point to Sassuolo, who remains 12th.

Additional problem for Conte, his central defender Skriniar was excluded in additional time.

"It's a draw that hurts us and must leave us with regrets. Even today, we had chances to kill the match and we didn't do it," said the Milan coach.

In the last match of the day, AS Rome managed to stay in contact with Atalanta by defeating Sampdoria Genoa 2-1 with difficulty.

The Romans remain 5th at six points from Atalanta and can thank their center-forward Dzeko, author of a superb double of volley attempts, one from the left and one from the right.
