June 24, 2020 Antonio Mura is the new Pg of the Court of Appeal of Rome. The practice of the Fifth Commission was voted unanimously by the Plenum of the CSM. Mura, in the judiciary since 1982, was currently Pg at the Venice Court of Appeal.
 Mura takes the place of Giovanni Salvi, who since November of last year has been the attorney general of the Cassation. In the judiciary since 1981, Mura was also a councilor of the CSM and from 2014 to 2017 head of the Department for Justice Affairs of the ministry in via Arenula. In December 2017 he was appointed Pg of Venice, where he dealt with the appeals against the insolvency declarations of the Venetian banks). First he was substitute attorney general in the Cassation and many important trials ended on his table. Among the many those on the murders of Maurizio Gucci, the journalist Ilaria Alpi and the operator Miran Hrovatin, the judges Ciaccio Montalto and Rosario Livatino. A long list that also sees the judgments on the death of little Samuele Lorenzi in Cogne and on the crack Parmalat and the trial of the former head of the Sisde Bruno Contrada.
