British world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will part with an Irish advisor believed to be linked to organized crime, US promoter Bob Arum announced on Wednesday.

The legendary promoter explained to the Daily Telegraph that even if he and Fury "admire and respect" Daniel Kinahan, they agreed together that Arum's company, Top Rank, would manage the next boxer's contracts.

Fury has agreed with fellow countryman Anthony Joshua for two fights to determine who is the one and only heavyweight world champion. He has already thanked Kinahan, who would live in Dubai, for completing this contract.

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has since declared in early June that Kinahan's involvement in the fighting should encourage potential broadcasters not to broadcast it.

Varadkar even said that his Minister of Foreign Affairs had inquired with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) about the exact role of Kinahan in this very lucrative contract.

According to Arum, Fury agrees that Top Rank will take care of his next contracts, "be it Joshua, Wilder or whoever it is. We have informed Eddie Hearn (the promoter of Joshua) ", he added.

Also according to Arum, Kinahan has agreed to step back, "which will eliminate a lot of confusion," added the 88-year-old American promoter.

Irish Parliament learned this month from judicial sources that Kinahan is linked to organized crime "with a very important position globally," said Labor MP Alan Kelly.
