The 7:40 am Strasbourg-Paris TGV passengers arrived in the capital about an hour late, late morning on Tuesday. The fault of an unusual accident. Their train hit a stork around 9 a.m., reports France Bleu Lorraine Nord.

The aircraft was hit at the pantograph, which connects the engine to the catenary. The TGV had to be stopped at the next station, in Benéstroff (Moselle) for checks of ten minutes. Before a second stop at Lorraine TGV, where the two Strasbourg-Paris trains of the morning were linked.
