“From June 23 ... the compulsory observance of the 14-day quarantine for citizens arriving in the Volgograd region from other regions of Russia is canceled,” TASS quoted the message of the regional operational headquarters.

It is noted that a mandatory 14-day quarantine remains only for citizens who have arrived in the region from abroad.

Residents over 65 are advised to continue to comply with the self-isolation regime, but from June 23 this is no longer a mandatory requirement.

Starting June 23, the next stage in mitigation of restrictions imposed due to the spread of coronavirus infection comes into force in Moscow. Kindergartens, fitness clubs, travel agencies, social protection institutions return to work in normal mode. Also, cafes and restaurants can now work in full, and not only using summer verandas, which opened on June 16.

As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted, this "very serious step in overcoming sanitary restrictions" was affected by the improving epidemiological situation.

Earlier, academician of the RAS Viktor Maleev in an interview with URA.RU evaluated the effectiveness of masks and antiseptics.
