June 23, 2020 "An articulated request for a revision of the sentence was sentenced which sentenced Alberto Stasi to 16 years in prison for the tragic death of Chiara Poggi". This was stated by the lawyer Laura Panciroli, appointed last December precisely "for a complete rereading of the complex case, aimed at its revision". Chiara Poggi had been killed in Garlasco (Pavia) on August 13, 2007 and the author of the murder was identified in the then fiancé Alberto Stasi.
