The remains of a Korean soldier killed in the Korean War, which were excavated in North Korea and moved to Hawaii in the United States, return to their homeland in 70 years.

The Ministry of National Defense said today (24th) at 5 o'clock in the morning in Hawaii, the US Department of Defense held a ceremony to take over 147 remains of the Korean War, held by the Pentagon's War Captive.

Prior to the joint US-ROK sentiment, the remains of 92 ROK soldiers were recaptured three times.

The 147 hazardous remains that will be returned this time will arrive at Seoul Airport at about 4:50 pm.
