According to Gazeta.Ru, citing the agency’s website, according to preliminary data, about 3.5 cubic meters of diesel fuel fell into the soil as a result of a leak at the diesel power plant of Sakhaenergo JSC in the village of Argakhtakh.

“The power engineers of the production unit of the Srednekolymsky Distribution Zone branch of Sakhaenergo JSC completed the transfer of diesel fuel from the damaged tank to neighboring tanks,” the newspaper reports.

The Ministry of Energy noted that there were no consequences for energy supply to consumers.

Currently, soil restoration is being carried out at the leak site, and the emergency services of Yakutsk are involved.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office of the Srednekolymsky district of Yakutia began a check on the fact of a fuel leak at a power plant in the village of Argakhtakh.

An operational group flew to the place of fuel leak in Yakutia.
