  • Two men were kidnapped last week in Seine-Saint-Denis and in Val-de-Marne, before being released by their captors.
  • The judicial police were seized to shed light on these two cases.
  • These kinds of abductions, often linked to stories of narcotics, occur frequently, police observe.

On June 17, leaving the Chez Zino restaurant (19th arrondissement of Paris) where he had spent the evening, Jonathan *, 36, asked his wife to come back alone. He will join her later, he assures her. But the next evening, he still did not give her a sign of life. Worried, she confides in one of her friends who, in turn, tries to call her. The young man answers but does not have time to speak. An individual snatches the device from his hands and claims that Jonathan is kidnapped in a cellar, in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis). He revokes a debt and demands a ransom of 70,000 euros against his release.

The accused, the police went to Jonathan's home in Rosny-sous-Bois. They fall on his frightened companion who is packing up, dreading possible reprisals from the kidnappers. The Bobigny public prosecutor's office opened an investigation and seized the departmental judicial police department of Seine-Saint-Denis. Jonathan's phone, which is not known to the police, is indeed located in Pantin, but the research remains unsuccessful. Finally, the police find him early in the morning, at his home.

"A blow of pressure"

According to the first elements of the investigation, it seems that Jonathan was actually kidnapped in 93 before being taken to Paris. His captors released him without having received a ransom. Investigations are continuing to shed light on this affair. "But the victims of these types of cases, often linked to drug stories, never speak," said a source close to the file. "There are quite often at the moment, but not necessarily more than before confinement," continues the same source. It's their way of settling their scores, putting pressure on them. "

Indeed, the day of Jonathan's disappearance, the police from Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) were called for a similar case. A woman explains to them that her partner has also been kidnapped. She received a call from her companion's phone. But at the other end of the line, a man she did not know asked her for 80,000 euros, citing a drug case. The officials then went to the home of the 30-year-old victim and noticed traces of a break-in on the door.

Released on a parking lot

The apartment, unoccupied, was searched. A neighbor also tells them that they saw the victim being kidnapped. Finally, his captors released him on June 19 in the middle of the day in the parking lot of a shopping center in Seine-et-Marne. According to our information, this man, already known to the police for drug cases, did not wish to explain to investigators of the departmental judicial police service of Val-de-Marne why he had been kidnapped and kidnapped.
