In many cities, the PS and environmentalists have formed alliances for the second round of municipal elections. Invited Monday of Europe 1, the first secretary of the PS Olivier Faure defended this choice. "We don't win without them, they don't win without us," he explains.

INTERVIEW

A few days before the second round of the municipal elections, the first secretary of the PS Olivier Faure defended the past alliances between the socialists and Europe Écologie-Les Verts in many cities. "We do not win without them, they do not win without us," he says at the microphone of Europe 1. "The truth is simple: to be able to win, you have to come together," he said.

"In cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, there are 26 cities in which the whole left is behind the PS, and 10 cities in which we are behind The Greens," recalls Olivier Faure. "I want a social and ecological block which will allow this country to breathe and not to be condemned to the Macron-Le Pen duel".
