Maduro recalled his meeting with former US Vice President Joe Biden in 2015. According to him, he and Biden then "spoke for a long time and respectfully."
“I’m ready to speak respectfully with US President Donald Trump, in the same manner that I spoke with Biden,” he said.
Earlier, Trump said that if he meets with the President of Venezuela, then only to discuss the "peaceful withdrawal of Maduro from power."
