June 22, 2020 "I don't think I have offended anyone, so there is no problem for me to have clarifications in front of the judges and the competent authorities. I do not name names for a call in running, but to demonstrate my role "and for the need" to explain the whole system, none excluded ". Prosecutor Luca Palamara told 'Omnibus' on La7 about the intention expressed by some colleagues, including Eugenio Albamonte, to sue him for defamation. The latter - in an interview with "Il Corriere della Sera" - announced: "I have sent a lawyer to file a lawsuit for defamation". And in reference to what was declared by Palamara, he urges: "It seems the desperate attitude of those who, faced with burdensome accusations also in terms of image, denounce having their right of defense denied, of having an impartial judge and finally shouting so everyone fans. "For those who do our job, it is not new, it is strange that a magistrate uses this technique".

"Of course it is true. But it is not that if one meets with a member of parliament and some councilor of the CSM he must necessarily deal with assignments or direct appointments also in view of solutions to individual judicial events in favor of one of the guests - continues Albamonte "There are also other ways and other purposes. With Donatella Ferranti, whom I respect and of whom I am a friend, we have always discussed issues of general interest, problems of justice and reforms. In any case, I am not part of the CSM." Even Ferranti - drawn to the test - is considering whether to proceed legally against Palamara: "This time he made it big" he commented: "There may have been meetings with magistrates called by him - he says - but casual encounters, unscheduled and even less aimed at managing appointments. " And he concludes: "News of inappropriate dinners deserve to be considered only before the judge".

Palamara expelled from the ANM ("I will hold the expulsion as per the statute"), finished at the center of the 'nomination scandal', therefore does not close the controversy and goes to the counterattack by stressing that he was transformed into the scapegoat of a system in which he to "pay for everyone". "It is no longer a problem of Palamara, but of a system that has failed, which I was part of but which I did not invent. I was swallowed up by this system and as
far as I am concerned I am ready to take a share of responsibility "underlines Palamara. "There is a lot of talk about this trojan, an interception tool that makes people discuss - the former president of the togas union continued - The trojan has registered agreements between two association groups, and no episodes of corruption, an accusation from which I will be able to defend myself, after it has already emerged that I have not taken any money for any appointment. " And he continues: "I find it singular that I have to justify thousands of appointments, it has failed only when on certain appointments those who did not belong to the currents were penalized. The world of currents is characterized by the choices that the owners of the associative groups take".

"We must apologize to many citizens and magistrates overwhelmed by such a situation," says Palamara. "Here we talk about another issue - he continued - of the management of power within the judiciary, with respect to which I was also 'stuck'.

The ANM replies that Palamara" lies and mystifies the facts ", when he claims not to have had the possibility of defending himself from the accusations that led to the decision to 'put him out': "He was heard by the probibirs and throughout the disciplinary procedure you never took a position on the meetings with CSM advisers, parliamentarians and defendants", writes the ANM in a note adding that "the rules are respected, even when they are not convenient".
