On Sunday, the Israeli police arrested 5 Jerusalemites and a guard near the Bab Al-Rahma chapel in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, before releasing them on condition of deportation.

Video footage of the occupation forces documented the arrest of the five young women, who are Shifa Abu Ghalia, Ayat Abu Nab, Ayat Maatouq, Maram Al-Natsheh, and Mayar Al-Natsheh, after storming the courtyards of the mosque and preventing worshipers from performing the prayer in it.

The occupation police also arrested the guard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Abdul Karim Al-Qaoud, and they were all transferred to the "Al-Qashleh" investigation center, before releasing them on the condition of deportation from the mosque.

For its part, condemned the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, "the occupation police stormed the chapel of Bab al-Rahma, arrested the five girls after attacking them inside the chapel, and arrested the guard for his objection to that."

She expressed her disapproval of these behaviors, which she described as irresponsible and "aimed at fueling the situation inside the mosque with false pretenses, aiming to change the existing religious, historical and legal status of the mosque."

The Palestinian Prisoner Club says that since the beginning of this year, Israel has arrested more than 750 Palestinians in Jerusalem, including children and women.
