On the evening of June 17, President Xi Jinping chaired the China-Africa Solidarity Anti-epidemic Special Summit and delivered a keynote speech. This is the third time President Xi Jinping has attended an international multilateral meeting since the war. Facing the worst global public health emergencies since the end of the Second World War, Chinese and foreign leaders crossed different time zones and gathered together through video to discuss plans for solidarity in anti-epidemic and narrate Sino-African brotherhood.

In 2020, the epidemic of New Coronary Pneumonia raged across the world. In the critical period of China's anti-epidemic, African countries and people have always stood with China, and 48 regional heads of state, 12 prime ministers, AU and other 6 regional organizations have either called or issued a statement to send condolences and support to China. After the outbreak of the African epidemic, China took the lead in giving aid, donating anti-epidemic materials, holding a video conference of Chinese and African health experts, and sending a team of anti-epidemic medical experts, etc., standing firmly with the African people and writing a new chapter in the destiny of China and Africa.

After the China-Africa Solidarity Anti-epidemic Special Summit, leaders of many African countries issued a statement thanking China for its support and assistance in combating the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Africa. After this epidemic, China and Africa have become more united, friendship and mutual trust have been consolidated, and their determination to work together has become more firm.

Humanity will eventually overcome the epidemic, and the people of China and Africa will eventually lead a better life.
