20 June 2020 The Casa di Giulietta museum has reopened in Verona. This completes the museum path that leads to the famous balcony after exactly a week ago the courtyard with the statue of the Shakespearean heroine became accessible to visitors from all over the world.

The house will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 to 17, with new entry methods to guarantee the safety of visitors and operators. The protocol provides that a maximum of 18 people can be present in the museum at the same time, access is allowed only with a mask and keeping the distance of one meter between the visitors. Entry and exit from the building are separate. Access to the courtyard is free, although limited to a maximum of 26 people present at the same time, with the obligation to wear a mask.

"Today - said the mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina - there is a large queue of tourists and this is a good sign". "The positive note is that the city is beginning to repopulate itself: we can see it from the data of the entrances to the Arena, here at the Casa di Giulietta and from the numbers of the presence in the city", he concluded.

The appearance of the house and the adjacent building was modeled between 1937-1940 (under the direction of Antonio Avena) through a series of imaginative restorations wanted to recreate the ancient Renaissance scenography.
