BRIS sees clear examples of children being affected by the pandemic in various areas, including when it comes to domestic violence.

- For example, a child writes that "dad usually beats mom, but now that we are at home all the time, dad beats all the time," says Magnus Jägerskog.

The children's conversation can also be about a concern that has grown during the pandemic, he says.

- It is a conversation about death. Death is more present in children's lives. It may be a fear of what will happen if one's parents no longer live, who will take care of me then?

Starts the chat bot

To cope with the increased pressure, BRIS will now start with an automated service, a so-called bot, which is a chat feature where children get answers to the most common questions before getting help from any of those working at BRIS.

The pandemic is not over yet and Magnus Jägerskog believes that many children can have a hard time this summer.

- Now we come from a spring when this has been very big and there is a great risk that it will continue over the summer. I think this will be a different summer, he says.
