Modi attempts sacred union in India after deadly clashes with China

The Prime Minister of India brought together most of the parties represented in Parliament for a discussion on the border crisis with China. Clashes at the Himalayan border have resulted in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers and at least 5 Chinese. The beginning of a sacred union was formed as important military reinforcements were deployed along this disputed border.

“ The Chinese have not entered our territory and have not captured any military posts. It was with these words that the Prime Minister concluded the videoconference held with representatives of most of the Indian parties. The majority of them have rallied behind Narendra Modi in his resolution to seek peace while remaining ready to fight the Chinese .
But some question the management of this crisis of more than a month: " Why did the Indian political leaders not start to discuss with their Chinese counterparts as of the first confrontation of May 5 ", questions Sonia Gandhi, the president of Congress, main opposition party to the Assembly.

The Aam Admi Party, head of the Delhi state government, wonders why there was such a clash if the Chinese really did not enter Indian territory.
In the meantime, New Delhi has deployed numerous fighter jets and Apache helicopters and organized a refueling airlift to these high mountains in the event of a military escalation. The Chinese do the same on their side.
