Pensioners who continue to work, while respecting the regime of self-isolation, will be able to extend electronic sick leave. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the Russian government Mikhail Mishustin.

“We are talking about older people living in regions where restrictions by decision of the leaders of the subjects continue to apply. Such citizens can apply for electronic sick leave valid for June 15 until the official end of the self-isolation regime in this particular region, ”the government said in a statement.

Note that the procedure applies to citizens 65 years of age and older, observing the regime of self-isolation due to coronavirus, who have not transferred to remote work and are not on vacation.

The resolution also states that the new electronic sick leave, like the previous ones, is paid directly to the employee at the expense of the Social Insurance Fund for the entire period within seven calendar days from the date of registration of the sick leave.

Recall that in Russia from late March to May 12, a non-working day regime was introduced, introduced according to the decree of Vladimir Putin. Canceling this order, the head of state indicated that citizens over 65 years of age should still remain in self-isolation. Electronic sick leave began to be issued to them in mid-April.

According to a government statement, disability certificates will be issued on the basis of data sent by employers to the Social Insurance Fund in electronic form. You do not need to provide any additional information or documents.

In addition, the government clarified that the calculation of temporary disability benefits in these situations will take place according to general rules. To receive payment in 100% for the days of the sick leave, work experience of more than eight years is required. The basis for the calculation is the earnings for two years, but the amount is limited to the average maximum earnings of 69,961.65 rubles. per month.

“The decision comes into force from the date of its official publication and applies to legal relations arising from June 15, 2020,” the document says.

Note that the self-isolation regime for citizens over 65 was canceled in a number of Russian regions, including Moscow. However, the authorities of a number of entities decided to extend these measures for at least the coming weeks. For example, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the general self-isolation regime was established until July 12, and in the Stavropol Territory similar measures are valid until July 1, but only apply to people over 65 and citizens with chronic diseases.
