“The import into the territory of Russia of certain types of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs ... is permitted during the transit international air transportation through the territory of Russia to third countries in one of the following cases,” follows from the decree.

In particular, such a condition may be an airplane making an intermediate landing at a Russian airport without unloading products.

In addition, an intermediate landing at a Russian airport is allowed with a single transshipment of products to another aircraft that travels outside Russia, provided that the goods are under customs control and do not leave the border crossing point.

At the end of June 2019, Russia extended the food embargo until the end of 2020.

Prodembargo has been operating in Russia since August 7, 2014 in relation to products from the countries of the European Union, the USA, Australia, Norway and Canada. Later, products from Ukraine and a number of other European countries were included in the list.
