Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova believes that with the observance of security measures in the country, a second wave of coronavirus can be avoided.

“I do not think that if we follow all security measures, we should wait for the second wave,” the agency quotes Golikov.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister paid attention to the production of a vaccine against coronavirus infection. In her opinion, the industrial release of the product can start closer to the fall.

“I hope that the schedule that we have now approved in accordance with the president’s instructions assumes just August (the first completion of the tests) and access to industrial production in August-September,” she said.

Recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense began to test the vaccine against COVID-19 in the military hospital named after N.N. Burdenko. Tests were approved by the Russian Ministry of Health on June 16.

The Ministry of Defense on June 18 published details of the procedure. It is reported that the process is under the control of the most experienced specialists. Of the 18 volunteers, nine received one component of the drug, and another nine received another. All volunteers will continue to be under the continuous supervision of medical specialists, the department noted.

“According to the results of a survey and examination of volunteers, there were no adverse reactions or complications, there were no complaints from the participants of the experiment about the state of health,” the Ministry of Defense said.
