A violent shock which left him no chance. On Wednesday, a 25-year-old man died after being struck by a car driving his scooter in Meyzieu, near Lyon. According to Le Progrès, the 45-year-old motorist involved in the collision was about to turn left when the two-wheeler arrived, at high speed, according to the first elements.

The motorist would not have seen the man on a scooter who was overturned and then ejected from his machine. The young man, who was wearing a helmet, was taken care of by the Samu. Despite resuscitation attempts, he was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.

An ongoing investigation

Alerted to the collision, several relatives and family members of the victim went to the scene of the accident. They then allegedly violently attacked the motorist, requiring the intervention of the police to protect him. Wednesday evening, fifty people went to the hospital where the driver was hospitalized, adds the regional daily.

The man, whose toxicological tests and alcohol tests have turned out to be negative, should be placed in police custody as part of the ongoing collision investigation.
