"The US Department of Transportation issued an order today that rejected requests from Chinese carriers for future transportation," the department said in a statement.
It is noted that this measure is aimed at maintaining parity of regular passenger traffic between the United States and Chinese airlines.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States will treat China the same way it treats Hong Kong.
