SNCF continues to expand its offer via its application - JP PARIENTE

The "SNCF Assistant", a multimodal transport application has just added a new string to its bow. In its ambition to become a real hub for Ile-de-France transport, SNCF announced this Tuesday, June 16, a partnership with Uber. From June 20, it will be possible to order a VTC from the American platform, directly from the application. SNCF Assistant already offered to book carpooling or a taxi to get to the station, and a TER journey without leaving the application, and thus extends its range of transport. Important note, there will be no need to have an Uber account, everything will be done via the SNCF Assistant, so no need to download the parent application, create an account or provide your bank details.

For the moment, this offer will only be available in Ile-de-France. “With this partnership, the SNCF Assistant is taking a new step. This allows us to support our travelers with the best of shared mobility, accessible in a single application, from information to purchase, ”said Alexandre Viros, CEO of e. SNCF travelers.

Reload a Navigo pass or present a TER ticket from your smartphone and without contact

And that's not all. While the application already offered a range of transport solutions (taxis, carpooling with Blablalines, direct buses to Paris airports and real-time information for transiliens, RATP, Vélib and Cityscoot), it completes its offer with the possibility of recharging Navigo and Tickets + packages on all NFC (Near Field Communication) compatible smartphones in Ile-de-France.

This will allow you to present your contactless ticket via a barcode on the application or by NFC, even with the phone switched off. This novelty will also apply to the TER title throughout France and for the titles of the Strasbourg transport company.
