It was late on Christmas Day 2019 that the police were alerted to a suspected violent crime outside Kungsbacka. At the scene, police found a dead woman near her home.

A man was arrested that night when he himself alerted the police and said he was guilty. The man admitted that he shot himself into the home with a shotgun and that he then shot the woman. According to him, he was driven by jealousy. The couple must have ended during Christmas Eve, something that the man must have found difficult to accept.

Prosecuted for one more attempted murder

After the murder, the 52-year-old, according to the prosecutor, went to kill a man in his home. He never found the address, but was therefore also prosecuted for attempted murder and gross drunkenness.

According to prosecutor Eva Lotta Swahn, the man was also supposed to have filmed and intercepted the woman secretly in her home for seven months. The woman's call to 112 and the shots should also be included in the audio recordings, according to the prosecutor.

Now he is sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, preparation for murder, abusive photography, illegal eavesdropping and gross drunkenness.
