Jean-Pierre Pernaut became the favorite TV personality of the French in the TV Magazine poll, passing in front of Nagui and Jean-Luc Reichmann.

The historic presenter of the 13h TF1 gained 6 points of popularity since the last poll in December 2019, reaching 23.7% of favorable opinions. "It is the reward for the work produced by the entire 13 Hours team before and during confinement," Jean-Pierre Pernaut told TV Magazine

Asked about the comments he sometimes makes between two reports, such as on migrants or confinement, the presenter of the news said he refrained from "giving an opinion".

"The 1 pm newspaper is sometimes backed up by common sense remarks, because a journalist is not a cold animal who simply repeats official information. He is also there to tell the story of people's lives," said Jean-Pierre Pernaut.

The poll places Stéphane Bern in second position, with 21.6% of favorable opinions (+4 points), thanks to his broadcasts but also to his media action for heritage. Nagui, Jean-Luc Reichmann and Michel Cymes follow them in the ranking.

Cyril Lignac made a remarkable entry there, in 6th place, taking advantage of the success of his program "Tous en cuisine" launched on M6 during confinement. It is also the favorite of young viewers (18-34 years old) according to the survey.

The head of M6 is even ahead of the chain's real estate agent, Stéphane Plaza, who was on the throne at the start of 2019. In the ranking are Laurent Delahousse, Elise Lucet, Karine Le Marchand, Anne-Sophie Lapix and Harry Roselmack. Denis Brogniart (16th), Olivier Minne (20th), Thomas Sotto (24th) and Bruce Toussaint (40th) recorded the strongest progressions.

The survey was carried out by OpinionWay for TV Magazine from June 3 to 5, 2020 on a sample of 1,027 people representative of the French population, aged 18 and over, according to the quota method.
