The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that it is opening its borders to several countries within the EU and Schengen, but not generally to Sweden and Portugal. The reason is that Danish authorities believe that the virus is still too widespread.

Also, tourists from Skåne, Blekinge and Halland, as well as tourists from Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, do not have to meet the requirement to carry out at least six nights in Denmark in order to be allowed.

The new travel rules apply from June 27, Danish Foreign Ministry states on its website. The regulations are based on criteria on the number of infected, and most EU countries and the UK will be included.

To open the limit completely, one has set a limit of fewer is 20 infections of 100,000 per week.
