Corona: China announces control of the virus in Beijing and a heavy toll among doctors in Russia

China announced that it had controlled the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Beijing, while the Palestinian territories were experiencing a "second wave", with the infections returning to a remarkable height, and announced a heavy toll of the epidemic victims among doctors in Russia.

Today, Thursday, the Chinese Ministry of Health recorded 21 additional infections during the last 24 hours in the capital of 21 million people, raising the number of new infections recorded since last week to 158, and the virus outbreak in 11 areas of the city had prompted the authorities to isolate it, and warnings were raised from a wave Corona again in China.

It is not very different in Afghanistan, which has officially counted 27,000 injuries, including 500 deaths, as the governor of Kabul estimated that there were a million injured in the capital alone, and he warned of what he described as a disaster, pointing to reports of the high number of deaths and the burial of people at night.

And in Turkey - which witnessed in the past two weeks an increase in infections with Corona virus - the authorities decided to impose a new general closure on the coming weekend, and this comes while the Turkish Minister of Health confirmed that the infections recorded a decline today by 125 cases compared to yesterday, and that the number of recoverers exceeded the number New infected.

And close to Turkey, the virus continued to claim victims in Iran, with 87 additional deaths and 2,600 new infections.

While most European countries eased closures by reopening the borders between them and the United States gradually began opening its economy, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance was preparing for a possible second wave of the spread of the Corona virus.

As for the Arabs, today it recorded the highest death toll and injuries in Saudi Arabia, while the lowest deaths and injuries were recorded in all of Algeria, Yemen, Qatar, Sultanate of Oman and Jordan, while Kuwait decided to reduce the duration of the night curfew, in the context of easing the isolation measures to combat the Coruna virus.

In Iraq, the official of the Information Division of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Ali Waheed Khasaf, died of HIV infection.

Globally, the death toll rose today to more than 8.15 million, including 453 deaths, while the number of people recovering reached nearly 4.5 million.

Doctors of Russia

In the context, the head of the government health watchdog in Russia today announced the death of nearly 500 members of Russian medical teams as a result of being infected with the Corona virus, a number much higher than the previous toll.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged problems in providing personal protective equipment for doctors.

Today, Russia recorded 182 new deaths, bringing the total to 7,660 deaths, and 7,790 new injuries were recorded, bringing the total number to 561,000.

Besides Russia, other countries are witnessing an increase in the number of deaths and injuries among medical personnel. Among these countries is Egypt, which causes the Corona virus in the death of about 70 of its doctors, as well as the injury of 450 others, according to a member of the Medical Syndicate.
