US President Donald Trump and his former national security adviser John Bolton have swarmed allegations and serious accusations across the media and digital platforms after publishing leaks from Bolton's book that the White House has resorted to court to prevent its publication.

In excerpts published by The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The New York Times, Bolton accused President Trump of making grave mistakes, including that he had explicitly asked Chinese President Xi Jinping for his help in winning the election for a second term.

Trump set out to respond to the accusations, writing on Twitter that what was included in his previous adviser’s book “is a set of lies and fake stories all aiming to discredit me. A lot of ridiculous statements he attributes to me that I did not utter from a lip, it is pure slander”

The American President saw that Bolton was seeking to settle his account with him because he removed him from office.

He also accused him of being inept, as he said that "when Bolton stated that he was studying the application of the Libyan model in dealing with North Korea, the situation exploded and the madness of (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un with whom we had a good relationship."

Trump narrated that he once asked Bolton about his opinion of North Korea and had no answer, and added that he should have been expelled at that time.

In another tweet, the US president said, "He's a boring, bland fool, who just wanted to go to war. He had no idea. He was ostracized and disposed of with pleasure, what a stupid!"

Trump turns to the law

In a telephone interview with Fox News, Trump accused his former adviser of violating the law by publishing highly classified information without permission, and accused him of failing to do his job.

He said, "Bolton broke the law. He was a failure and gave him an opportunity. He could not obtain the approval of the Senate, and despite that, I gave him a position without the approval of the Senate. I put him in the position in order to test his performance, but he did not impress me."

He added that Bolton "was in favor of using weapons and going to Iraq, and this policy did not work, and as long as I opposed that even before my work, he wanted to go to Iraq, and I asked him a month after he took office if he had made a mistake and he said that he does not believe that."

On the other hand, Bolton appeared in an exclusive interview with "ABC" news network to present his book expected to be published next week and the title "From the event hall .. Notes from the White House."

Bolton continues to attack

The former White House counselor said he did not see Trump "fit to take over" and added that he did not have "the competence to do so, as he really had no guideline that I could grasp except what was useful for Donald Trump's re-election."

"I think he was so focused on re-election that he failed to achieve long-term considerations."

He added, "He believed that he could have an opportunity to take pictures with Kim Jong Un in the Demilitarized Zone in Korea where the focus was largely on photography and the reaction of the press, while focusing on the role of these meetings in the US negotiating position is little or no." .

One of the most notable leaks from Bolton's book is that the US president has expressed his willingness to stop criminal investigations and provide "a personal favor for tyrants who love them," according to an excerpt published by The New York Times.

Bolton has long been described as a hawk of US foreign policy, and Trump sacked him in September last year in the midst of policy rows.

The White House has filed a lawsuit to prevent Bolton from publishing the book on the grounds that it involves risks to national security, and the administration is seeking a court hearing on Friday.

The publisher begins distribution

Simon & Schuster, publisher of the book, dismissed the charges, saying it had begun to send "hundreds of thousands of copies" to buyers.

On the other hand, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a press statement that the information revealed by the book shows that President Trump is inappropriate and not ready to be president, adding that Democrats will continue to monitor the president's behavior.

She added that she was consulting with senior Democrats on the possibility of summoning Bolton to testify.

However, the book raises mixed responses. Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff - who led the prosecution team in the Republican Trump's parliamentary trial - criticized Bolton, who at the time threatened that he would "file a lawsuit if summoned to appear before the commission of inquiry."

Schiff said on Twitter that Bolton "preferred to keep the information for a book, perhaps Bolton was an author, but he lacked the national sense."

However, Bolton's book provides new ammunition to Trump's critics before the presidential elections scheduled for next November, including what he says about Trump-related dialogues with the Chinese President that once touched on the topic of the US elections.

Bolton's name has risen to the list of internationally rising tags on Twitter with more than a million tweets in a matter of hours, and commentators have divided opinions on the book and its author.
