Bixente Lizarazu will join Radio France at the start of the school year as a football specialist and "sports ambassador", the public group announced on Thursday.
After having officiated on RTL, the 1998 world champion and 2000 European champion "will develop his relevant analyzes around football" on the antennas of France Bleu, Franceinfo and France Inter ", specifies Radio France in a press release.
The former left-back of Bayern Munich will head a weekly program on France Bleu. "It will deal with the many subjects that fascinate me (football, sport, adventure, nature). I will share the experience and the human adventure of my guests every week," said Bixente Lizarazu.
"Addressing a wider scope was important to me: it is important in the perspective of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and what sport represents for me," said Bixente Lizarazu, 50.
The former international will also comment on next Sunday's twenty major Ligue 1 posters on Sunday evening, with Grégoire Margotton, on the future channel of the Mediapro group, Telefoot.
