June 17, 2020 Fulton County prosecutor Paul Howard issued an "arrest warrant" for the two agents involved in the death of African American Rayshard Brooks, who was killed in Atlanta during a police checkup last Friday and charged Garrett Rolfe, the ex-cop who shot him with the murder crime.

Brooks "was never informed" that he was under arrest for drunk driving and never acted "as a threat", but was collaborative, added the prosecutor who said he had interrogated 10 witnesses and had viewed eight videos of what happened.

Brooks "never showed aggressive behavior in 41 minutes 17 seconds" of the check. The prosecutor added that the former agent, Garrett Rolfe, who shot Brooks in the back, "kicked him while he was on the ground" after the gunshot.
