The Masters 1000 of Paris will be played well from October 31 as planned, said Wednesday the president of the French Tennis Federation (FFT) Bernard Giudicelli, while the ATP has published a post-coronavirus calendar which stops at October 11 at the end of Roland-Garros.

"Yes of course we confirm, we confirm," said Giudicelli, who was questioned at a press conference about Bercy's outfit on the dates originally planned.

"It will be an unprecedented event: as much we will have a historic Roland-Garros (because moved from May to the end of September, note), as much we will have a different Rolex Paris Masters since there will be few playing opportunities offered (this year ) and that players will be interested in participating, "said the manager.

The ATP circuit was frozen in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic and will officially resume on August 14 in Washington.

Meanwhile, many tournaments have been canceled, including Wimbledon, and ATP is working on a new end-of-season schedule.

For now, the last officially scheduled tournament is Roland-Garros, the final of which will be played on October 11. ATP said on Wednesday "to explore all options for adding ATP 500 and 250 tournaments if circumstances permit."

Did the FFT have the idea of giving up its Bercy week to other tournaments? "Never never, never in life!", Declared President Giudicelli.
