The rewritten trial, which began on June 5 in Stockholm District Court, has been followed by a number of Swedish and international media. Negotiations are now in its sixth day of the planned seven days.

Former Beijing Ambassador Anna Lindstedt is charged with self-incrimination in negotiating with foreign power. She is suspected of acting on her own in the case of the imprisoned book publisher Gui Minhai by arranging a meeting last year - without a sign from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lindstedt: "Unintelligible"

Anna Lindstedt has constantly denied the allegations.

- I have neither negotiated nor intended to negotiate, neither with China nor the businessmen. It is incomprehensible that it could have taken such proportions, Lindstedt said in an opening speech in court.

SVT manager called to the right

During Wednesday, SVT's Foreign Minister Pia Bernhardsson will be heard. The reason is a listing in Anna Lindstedt's service calendar about a scheduled meeting with the SVT boss on the same day that Angela Gui, daughter of imprisoned book publisher Gui Minhai, was joined by Chinese businessman Kevin Liu and colleague John Meewella at Hotel Sheraton in Stockholm.

In addition to SVT's Foreign Secretary, among others, Chinese connoisseur Torbjörn Lodén, who was invited to the mentioned meeting, and Mikael Lindström, who was Sweden's ambassador to Beijing during the period 2006-2010, will be heard.
