Napoli won the Italian Football Cup for the sixth time in its history, after winning a penalty shootout 4-2 against Juventus on Wednesday in the final match of the competition.

The original time of the match ended in a goalless draw after the team failed to translate the opportunities presented to them into goals during the two halves of the match.

The two sides ruled straight into the penalty kick without going further, and Napoli smiled luck after Juventus Dybala and Danilo failed to score their kicks.

Napoli prevented Juventus from crowning its 14th title in the tournament and boosting its record as the most crowned team.

It is noteworthy that Napoli won the Italian Cup in 1962, 1976, 1987, 2012 and 2014.
