THE ESSENTIAL

  • In the first round, outgoing mayor Anne Hidalgo (PS), candidate for her own succession came out on top with 29.3% of the votes, followed by candidate LR, Rachida Dati (22.7%) and candidate LREM Agnès Buzyn (17.3%).
  • In early June, Anne Hidalgo and David Belliard (EELV) - who came fourth in the first round with 10.8% of the vote - found an alliance and left as favorites.
  • During this debate on France 3 Paris Île-de-France, candidates will have to present their proposals and debate on three main themes: Covid-19 and economic consequences, solidarity and fragile people, mobility and living environment.
