Morrione Prize: Thursday at 19:00 streaming on FB

June 17, 2020Thursday, June 18, with a live event on Facebook at 19:00, the finalists of the ninth edition of the Morrione Prize for investigative journalism will be presented. During the live broadcast, conducted by Rai Radio 3 director Marino Sinibaldi, the winner of the "special call" dedicated to the coronavirus emergency will also be awarded.

The CEO of Rai Fabrizio Salini, Renzo Arbore, the president of the FNSI Giuseppe Giulietti, the director of Rainews24 Antonio Di Bella, the president of the Friends of Roberto Morrione Giovanni Celsi Association and the spokesman of the Mara Filippi Morrione Association will speak.

The special notice coronavirus
The authors of the five works that reached the final of the coronavirus "special prize" are Ioana Beatrice Ambrosio, Fabio Bucciarelli, Francesco De Augustinis, Gaia Martignetti and Giuliana Sias. Their works were selected by the jury among the 100 proposals received, for a total of 128 participants, all under 40 as required by the call.

The special prize was aimed at "finished products", in any form, style, of any orientation, provided that in the usual course of attention to the civil, cultural and political issues of the country, which emerged during the period of the health emergency caused by Covid-19 .

The topics covered by the five finalist works range from the investigation of the role of intensive farms in epidemics to the reportage between Covid-19 patients in Bergamo, from a day lived by a homeless videomaker in the Milan of the lockdown to the hospital experience Cotugno di Napoli, which recorded the lowest number of health workers infected with the coronavirus.
