The employees of L'Equipe informed their management on Wednesday of their refusal to see wages and RTT decrease, after the announcement last week of a collective performance agreement project providing for this type of measure.

"After doing our best during containment / deconfinement to offer content that lives up to our titles, while we are distant from each other, we discovered with amazement, anger and disgust the sacrifices imposed by the draft agreement collective performance ", continues the letter.

"We refuse that management affects our salaries, nowadays RTT. We will not participate in the information meetings scheduled for the next few days," say the employees, supported in their approach by "a large and significant number of freelancers ".

"We trust all of our elected officials, the only ones legally empowered to represent us with management," concludes the letter.

Last week, the management of the sports press group announced its intention to negotiate an agreement providing for an annual drop in wages of around 10% and a decrease in the number of RTT (from 22 to 6) with the establishment of a day pass, committing in return not to make any economic redundancies for the period 2020/2024.

The group, which publishes the newspaper L'Equipe, L'Equipe Magazine, Vélo Magazine, France Football, Sport & Style but also the television channel L'Equipe, employs around 700 people.
