The agreement only applies to staff who get their vacation moved after 18/6. Those who have already moved their holidays receive no compensation.

"This is better than nothing and in the past, the employer has said no," says Iréne Sjövall Sanned, chair of the Jönköping Healthcare Department.

No compensation for holiday already moved

The health care association also wanted to see some extra financial compensation when staff go in and take extra days, but there the employer said no.

Among the staff at covid-IVA there are already many who have had their holidays moved. They receive no compensation for the holiday that has already been moved. Should they have their holidays moved further, they will then receive compensation.

- Then there will be SEK 30,000 per moved holiday week plus five extra holiday days, says Iréne Sjövall Sanned.

But she is worried that the already severely affected staff at covid-IVA will not receive much-needed vacation and recovery this summer.

Requires damages for late notice

The health care association also believes that the employer has not complied with the collective agreement in some cases when the changed leave was announced only 14 days before the holiday period.

- There, every worker must bring damages. We have received a lot of information there that we will help our members with, says Iréne Sjövall Sanned.
