She said that the Authority has initiated, since the beginning of the pandemic, the employment of smart applications and technologies, such as: visual communication programs to communicate with the families of patients in their homes, and follow-up treatment programs for children with developmental delays, and provide them with psychological counseling services, behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, And social support services, noting the great interaction and positive results achieved by this initiative, through direct communication between the treatment specialist and the patients' families, within programmed treatment sessions, each of which lasts 40 minutes, during which it provides medical advice and instructions for each child, and directs the parents to follow the treatment program Homework weekly.
She revealed the authority’s tendency to continue this service, after the "Covid-19" pandemic, for those whose circumstances prevented them from reaching the early intervention center in Al-Mizhar Health Center, and within the keenness it took to harness modern technologies to serve patients.
She said that the center provides multiple services for the age group from birth until the age of six, in a separate building attached to the building of Al-Mizhar Health Center, and equipped with the latest treatment facilities and equipment, as it includes specialized medical and medical cadres, who have been rehabilitated and strengthened in the fields of physical, psychological, and occupational therapy Physiotherapy, along with speech and social services specialists.
She said that the new cases, which the center receives, were transferred to him through children's clinics in primary health care centers, after assessing the case, and determining the need for follow-up in the early intervention center, stressing that early detection and early intervention services, for such cases, contribute to promoting the growth of The child and prepare him for integration into society.
