At the Academic Hospital in Uppsala, the pressure continues to be strong and to cope with the pressure of care, a holiday week has been withdrawn by the employees.

- We need recovery, says specialist nurse Sofia Lindström.

She worries about the fall and what it will be like if the staff has to take a vacation then.

- We may have to cut down on the number of care places, which will affect those waiting for their operation, she says, calling on the public:

- All individuals' own responsibility affects health care, we should use solidarity a little extra in these times.

Concerns about health gaps

There is also a concern for Rinkeby health center in Stockholm in the autumn.

- I am worried that many patients will come back to us with worse health, especially those who have avoided seeking care during the spring. I am also worried that unemployment and poverty will increase in the already vulnerable areas, and thus also the health gaps in society, says specialist physician Sumaya Al-Shakarji.

The spring has been tough for the healthcare staff

- Parents who have been ill have not been here, which has been a trauma for the family, says Rosanna Svensson, who works with premature babies at a neonatal care unit at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm.

But there are also positive memories.

- I will remember all the patients who came back and thanked, says Sumaya Al-Shakirji.
