Especially in Beijing, the epicenter of a Covid-19 rebound, where 31 new cases have been detected in the past 24 hours. While this figure could be largely underestimated according to some observers, the Chinese capital is gradually cutting itself off from the rest of the world.

The inhabitants have the feeling of a great leap back, with a situation similar to that of February. The city's airports are almost closed with more than 70% of flights canceled. The trains were stopped. In short, it is no longer possible to leave the capital except in exceptional cases, and by presenting a screening test for Covid-19.

Nearly half of the city's confined districts

The containment measures hardened abruptly overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, when the town hall announced at 11 p.m. the containment of eleven of the city's sixteen districts. All schools that had reopened are now closed. They will certainly remain so until September.
