Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority announced the opening of 4 new private schools in the academic year (2020-2021) with a total capacity of about 4100 school seats, covering the curriculum: American, British and Indian, with one of those schools actually starting work last April.

The new schools are distributed in different regions at the emirate level: Abu Hail, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Jebel Ali and Al Rashidiya.

Mohamed Ahmed Darwish, Executive Director of the Permits and Compliance Sector at the authority said: “The opening of the four new schools for the academic year 2020-2021 contributes to highlighting the prestigious international position of Dubai, which is trusted by education services providers as the preferred destination for designing and developing innovative models of education, and within a flexible system For private education and able to keep pace with and anticipate educational opportunities and options to meet the aspirations of educational services providers on the one hand in order to provide high-quality education, and enhances the availability of various educational options for different families and families in Dubai on the other hand.

The private school sector in Dubai is witnessing continuous growth rates year after year, which reflects the flexibility enjoyed by the sector, as private schools in Dubai today embrace approximately 300,000 students with a variety of high-quality educational options that meet the future strategic objectives of Dubai.

The data of the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority for the current academic year indicates that the number of students enrolled in Dubai's 209 private schools has grown by 2.1%.

It is noteworthy that Dubai has attracted 30 new private schools during the past three years, which added 24,000 school seats to the total capacity of the private schools in the emirate.
