The Ministry of Health and Community Protection launched a mobile unit for medical training simulation affiliated to the Training and Development Center in Sharjah, as an initiative supporting the first line of defense for medical training in health technical matters to deal with the challenges of «Covid-19», with the aim of raising the efficiency of medical personnel in hospitals, clinics and field hospitals, And update their skills according to the updated protocols according to best practices and health procedures, to support adherence to continuous medical training and patient-centered medical care. The project is an added advantage and value addition to the simulation training project, and plays a prominent role in enhancing the safety levels of Covid-19 patients.

The innovative operation of the initiative began last month, and the Training and Development Center received positive feedback and an increasing number of requests to use the mobile unit in various facilities.

The clinical simulation system contributes to preparing scenarios for natural situations that simulate reality, to create a safe and integrated simulation environment and unique training for doctors and health care professionals, improving communication between the work team, and preparing them to deal with various medical conditions, and how to face emergencies through the scenarios established, especially when dealing with Critical cases of Covid-19 disease in terms of assessment and screening of patient cases, cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, infection prevention measures and patient support skills.

Awad Sagher Al-Ketbi, the assistant undersecretary for the support services sector, stated that the launch of the multidisciplinary simulation unit for experimental medical training on health technical matters related to "Covid-19" represents a qualitative shift and innovative training solutions to develop the personal capabilities of doctors and medical staff, within the framework of keenness The Ministry is to train and develop the efficiency of its medical staff to deal with critical cases, according to advanced medical and health simulation methods, which rely on innovation in the institutional work environment to strengthen the health system, build smart training systems to keep pace with future changes, and build effective local and global partnerships.

Saqr Al-Hameeri, director of the Training and Development Center, stressed the importance of the training simulation model for caring for "Covid-19 patients" in critical cases, while using simulation tools to improve skills and raise the efficiency of specialized medical personnel to deal with "Covid-19" cases, through innovation in the accuracy of simulation And providing clinical practices that match reality in the smallest details, after developing the program’s content to suit the needs and requirements of the field.

Safe training opportunities

The training simulation model initiative aims to increase the realism of simulation training, through the use of training facilities and training devices by the trainees within the teams that they work with in the facility, which adds a high level of realism when training using simulation.

The mobile unit enables the institutional readiness to be raised for current and future health facilities, as transferring training to work sites helps to ensure that equipment and supplies, as well as existing work systems, are able to deal effectively and safely with expected health conditions.

The training simulation model is the most recent in the world to train health care professionals, because it provides safe opportunities for training in dealing with various simple and critical cases, which contributes to developing the cognitive, behavioral and technical skills of medical care personnel.

The Ministry of Health has received an increasing number of requests to use the mobile unit in various facilities.
