In Russia, a law came into force to reduce the consideration of applications for citizenship

“In order to improve the procedure for acquiring Russian citizenship in a simplified manner, the bill establishes a single term for consideration of applications for admission to Russian citizenship in a simplified manner, filed in Russia, up to three months,” the explanatory note says.

Earlier, as RT wrote, Aleksey Komissarov, co-chair of the ONF Central Headquarters, proposed reducing the requirements for obtaining citizenship by foreign students - volunteers who help in the fight against COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
