Gennaro Gattuso is looking forward to achieving his first title in his career as a coach, and to show that he does not give the team just the determination and his famous enthusiasm only, when Napoli play against Juventus in the Italian Cup final tomorrow Wednesday.

At the same time, his counterpart Maurizio Sarri is looking forward to achieving his first title in Italy, and hopes to be the first to open several titles on the path of the long-dominant Italian football team.

The Cup competition will be the first championship to settle this season, which resumed after a three-month hiatus due to the Corona virus. Wednesday's match without fans will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

Gattuso, famous for his fierce playing style, won the World Cup, Champions League and Italian League as a midfielder, but his transformation into a coach was not smooth.

He was quickly dismissed from his first two jobs, in Sion Swiss in 2013 and Palermo in Serie B, before spending six months with Ofi Crete who, according to Languoso, was "having difficulties feeding his players" at that time.

In Italy, he led Pisa to a third-class promotion before being hired by his former club Milan in 2017.

Despite failing to return him to the Champions League, Gattuso led Milan to the Cup final in 2018 where he lost 0-4 to Juventus, and many feel he has done well in a young and unbalanced squad.

Gattuso replaced Carlo Ancelotti in Naples in December to lead a team in a state of collapse and in the midst of a row between the players and the administration after refusing to enter a training camp for a week.

After a troubled start, Napoli improved under Gattuso and beat Juventus 1-0 in the league in January in the last encounter between the two teams.

"The team believes in what we do, and makes a lot of effort during the week, and these players give everything they have," Gattuso said after a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan in the second leg semi-final last Saturday, a result that led him to the final by winning 2-1 with the overall result.

"I think the level of quality is very high, and if we show humility in defense and attack, we can achieve many wonderful things," he added.
